Co-Founder|Chris Paul Family Foundation
Robin Paul is a wife, mother, grandmother and a woman whose faith guides the way she lives her life. She is also co-founder of the Chris Paul Family Foundation and a core member of Your Mom Cares.
Robin and her husband, Charles, met as teenagers in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and have been married for 37 years. Their strong family values are a trait that is consistently evident in the community work they do with their two sons, Chris and CJ, and their families, because they understand the importance of sharing their blessings with others.
“There were challenges along the way, for sure, financial sacrifices and time sacrifices,” states Robin. “We spent our wedding anniversaries in the gym with our boys. Our vacations were always basketball trips to national tournaments. We sacrificed upgrades to our home, put off getting that new car to ensure that our sons got to develop their talents and participate in their tournaments.”
Those sacrifices are obvious today as Chris continues to be one the leading point guards in the NBA currently playing with the Oklahoma City Thunder and CJ is the President of CP3 LLC.
The Paul Family epitomizes what the word family means. As co-founder of the foundation, Robin oversees the day to day operations. The foundation’s goals are to positively impact individuals and families by leveling the playing field in education, sports, and life. They provide resources that enrich and strengthen the healthy development of strong communities including Winston-Salem, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Houston and Oklahoma.
One of the proudest moments for the Paul family, and the foundation, was the 100% endowed Nathaniel Jones Scholarship Fund, named after Robin’s Dad, which allows two students in the Triad area of North Carolina to attend Wake Forest University annually, one on an academic scholarship and the other on a sports scholarship.
Robin and Charles are now experiencing falling in love all over again, with their four grandchildren:
Chris II, Camryn, Carder and Chloe. They loved being parents but wouldn’t replace the joy of being grandparents.
