As an experienced corporate executive, U.S. Senate confirmed federal official and tech entrepreneur, Hon. Harris brings to Orbital more than 30 years of proficiency in leading and managing real change in both the private and public sectors. Having served as Chief Diversity Officer for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Hon. Harris sets a high bar for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives throughout the agency. Hon. Harris was the highest ranked and longest serving person of color at the DOE during the historic Obama Administration and the first African American female officer at ABB, Inc., the world’s largest electrical engineering firm. Hon. Harris served in the executive ranks of General Electric and Westinghouse Electric and most recently as Co-Founder, Chairman & CEO of Jabo Industries, a successful minority-woman owned engineering management consulting firm. Hon. Harris’ new roles at Orbital will enable her to work aligned with her passions, which include promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the energy industry, youth STEM education and advancing economic growth in the infrastructure services industry, one of the fastest growing energy sectors. Hon. Harris holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Univ of South Carolina and a M.S. in Technology Management, Southern Polytechnic Univ.
