Rubiena Duarte is a Vice President with the Walt Disney Company in the Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Organization based in New York.

Rubiena helps lead the development and implementation of critical diversity and inclusion strategies to support all businesses and leaders across lines of business and global markets, providing subject matter expertise on relevant inclusion practices, and enhancing our inclusion brand both inside and outside the company.

This includes integrating D&I into talent practices, global sponsorship programs, market relevancy and building an inclusive culture where diverse voices drive innovation.

She has over 20 years of experience in philanthropy, human resources and diversity, equity & inclusion working across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and North America. Her career has been spent at Dell Computers leading D&I for North America as well as their Social Responsibility efforts in South Africa and at HP working across EMEA. Some of the most rewarding work she has done has been in remote areas of Africa with women who were survivors of rape and domestic violence as well as bridging the digital divide with technology solutions.

Having parents who were exiled from South Africa to Canada in the early 70s she has always had a passion for equality, inclusion and what impacts people the most. When not working, she spends time with her family including a teenage daughter who leads work on inclusion in their community.
