Resa Furey is the Director of Marketing and Business Development for Stantec’s global mining business and has more than 18 years experience in the mining industry. She is passionate about advancing knowledge to push limits and expand the understanding of mining. She currently leads a Net Zero Mining initiative to help mining companies reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, replace their energy with cleaner sources and prepare the industry for the net zero world. Resa is multi-lingual and has published widely on tailings risk, water management, and diversity, equity and inclusion in mining. She recently served as Chair of Women in Mining Canada and in 2018, was named to the 100 Inspirational Women in Mining list.
