Myah Moore Irick
Founder Irick Group
Myah Moore Irick joined Merrill Private Wealth Management in January 2020 to found the Irick Group. She focuses on providing wealth planning strategies to successful executives, sports & entertainment professionals, individuals & families navigating sudden wealth and nonprofits and foundations. Myah possesses a deep understanding of the psychology of wealth: the challenges that executives, individuals, seasoned professionals and even up-and-coming athletes face when making decisions about their financial futures. With this knowledge, Myah is able to help her clients identify what they really want their money to do for their lives, families and communities – and then create a wealth plan for achieving that.
For Myah, being a great advisor means going above and beyond the numbers. It means being a resourceful collaborator and trusted advisor, who digs deep into how her clients approach saving, spending and sustaining wealth. It means coming up with creative strategies to help them achieve their unique ambitions. And it means utilizing the vast resources of her firm to maximize their financial potential, provide for their loved ones and help them give back to their communities.
Myah is devoted to giving back in her own life. She sits on a number of boards and committees that promote access & inclusion in the classroom and in the boardroom. Regionally, she serves on the Carnegie Science Center board and the Energy Innovation Center Institute board. On a national level, she serves as a strategic partner to InvestmentNews, The Advanced Leadership Institute (TALI), and the Miss USA Organization. Her experience as Miss Oregon in 2003 inspired her ongoing commitment to promoting educational opportunities for women.
In addition, Myah and her husband are committed to lifting up others who come from similar backgrounds as they did. To that end, they fund several endowed scholarships for under-resourced students at their alma maters and provide academic scholarships for Miss USA Organization contestants in Idaho, Washington and Oregon.
Myah is a sought after speaker and contributor on topics ranging from managing sudden wealth to sustaining generational wealth and from financial empowerment and wellness to business development best practices. Most recently, she was profiled in Barron’s about her journey and about building her team and spoke on the floor of the Nasdaq exchange about furthering Black generational wealth.
Previous to joining Merrill, Myah was an Executive Director at JPMorgan Private Bank and also served as a relationship manager at PNC Wealth Management. She has held several senior roles at Columbia University, where she advised families on philanthropy and estate planning solutions.
Myah received a B.A. from Lewis & Clark College, an M.A. from Columbia University, and a joint international M.B.A. with honors from Brown University and Instituto de Empresa. She also holds a certificate in Financial Planning from Northwestern University and the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designation.
