Miranda Bennett-King
D&I Leader for Inclusion Groups and Programs, The Hartford
Miranda Bennett- King With a strong passion for social justice and desire to make a difference in the lives of others, Miranda Bennett-King is a D&I Leader for Inclusion Groups and Programs at The Hartford. In this role, she leads The Hartford’s internal D&I programs with a strategic focus on Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), D&I Councils, awareness training, courageous conversations and other work related to inclusion. Miranda has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and has been with The Hartford since 2006. During her tenure at The Hartford, she has held roles with increasing responsibility including Sr. Quality Analyst, Manager Operations, and Small Commercial Quality & VIP Concierge Manager. Prior to joining The Hartford, she worked at Synchrony Financial (formerly GE Consumer Finance). For many years, D&I has been a passion of Miranda as she actively participated in D&I related events and served as the Remote Chapter Co-Lead for the Black Insurance Professionals Network (BIPN) ERG in 2016 and 2017. Miranda holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Wingate University, a Bachelor of Science in Management degree from Montreat College, and a Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification. She works remotely from her home in North Carolina which she shares with husband Chris and youngest child, Cameron. In her personal time, Miranda enjoys spending quality time with family, traveling, being a foodie, volunteering and being an active in her church.
