Mary Robinson Carter is a Financial Advisor and President of the Washington D.C. Chapter of the Women’s Exchange at Merrill. She has been recognized by the Association of African American Advisors as A Top 50 Under 50 African American Advisor across the country and her advisory team has been recognized as a Best in State Advisory Group (Washington, DC) by Forbes for 2024 and 2023.
Mary is passionate about working with other women trailblazers across all industries. Mary looks to create lasting value in clients’ financial lives, helping people resolve issues, uncover possible inefficiencies, weigh crucial decisions, and plan for the future. With a background in tech, she works with many entrepreneurs and C-Suite executives, providing them with comprehensive financial planning and investment management. Her specialty is to provide tax-efficient investment management and financial planning for clients with stock concentrations and/or complex investing parameters/restrictions due to their professional affiliations.
Mary is a graduate of Elon University, and she and her husband live in Fort Washington, MD. Mary currently serves on the board of Coco Coalition and 501c3, dedicated to curating holistic, safe, and empowering opportunities for women of the African Diaspora to connect, grow, and thrive.
