Marjorie Jean
Stress and Trauma Therapist | Ram Circle Counseling and Coaching
Marjorie is a licensed psychotherapist, stress and trauma expert with over a decade supporting people and culture. Her personal mission is to amplify the voices of those who have historically been forced to live on the margins of society through a lifelong journey of reshaping wellness practices propelling change individually and systemically. Systems are made of people and people function within the parameters of these systems. As needs change and stress becomes even more convoluted, organizations have to revisit their own practices, workers and leaders have to redefine work-life fulfillment.
Over the past decade, she has worked both in the private and public sector from foster care, to hospitals, to public schools, nonprofits and spearheaded various philanthropic projects in Anse D’hainault, Haiti and Washington, DC. Shortly after the birth of her son, she created RAM CIRCLE a safe space to help support people experiencing emotional complaints and grievances as a result of trauma and stress. What started as a safe space turned into a successful start-up that has supported nearly one thousand people seeking mental health support and contributed to the professional development of five therapists.
She is Haitian, a perpetual explorer, an author, a storyteller, an unwavering social change optimist, an aspiring farmer and Rami’s mama. All these different parts shape the way she approaches the work. She has been recognized for her talents in the treatment of trauma related stress, her adaptability and creativity in designing sustainable solutions to operational challenges as well as her steadfast commitment to systems-based trauma work and education. She is trained in EMDR, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Somatic Experiencing and certified in Brainspotting.
