Madhavi Bhasin
Vice President, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging | Okta, Inc.
In her current role as Vice President of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) for San Francisco-based Okta, Inc., Madhavi launched and established a DIB function as a driver of business value and investment in progressive DIB partnerships. Prior to her current role, Madhavi was hired in 2014 by the global tech education nonprofit Technovation, where she was the Senior Director of the Technovation Girls Program. Under her leadership, the program has engaged 18,000 girls in over 120 countries. She also was credited with launching the Technovation 2018 Alliance of Partnerships for social impact with Google.org, Salesforce.org, Adobe Foundation, and Verizon.
In addition to her DEI passion, experience, and commitment, Madhavi is an experienced program manager. As Program Officer for the global nonprofit Institute of International Education, she supported/launched programs that focused on building individual/ organizational capacities for globally distributed programs across the Middle East, North Africa, and Tunisia.
Madhavi earned a Ph.D. in International Relations from Jadavpur University in Kolkata, India, where her research focused on building social, political, and economic movements among marginalized minority groups. She received both Master and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Delhi University.
