Lita Richardson’s career trajectory started with entertainment law. She has represented prominent Hollywood actors, directors, comedians, award winning musicians, NBA athletes, and authors. Her client deals have resulted in millions of dollars and her strong suit is connecting talent to projects. One of her proudest accomplishments is co-founding a talent management company with basketball Hall of Famer and business mogul, Earvin “Magic” Johnson.
For the past two years Richardson has served as Executive Vice President of Content and Brand Strategy for CBS Media Ventures, developing brand extensions, identifying monetization strategies in the streaming, video on demand, and social media space and expanding linear and digital partnerships for the syndication arm of Viacom CBS, as well as their DABL multi-cast network.
Prior to joining Paramount Global as a corporate executive, Richardson worked in production on the Paramount studios lot. There she oversaw integrated content for “The Dr. Phil Show” and “The Doctors” and was nominated for 4 Daytime Emmy awards.
Richardson also Co-Executive produced VH1’s, reality show “Glam God” and has produced 6 feature films with her long-time producing partner and client, Vivica A. Fox, as well as 2 films with producer Will Packer.
Richardson received her undergraduate degrees from Rice University and Juris Doctorate from University of Houston. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Motion Picture Editors Guild. Lita gives back to her community by mentoring students and being a resource for those looking to break into the entertainment industry. She lives in Los Angeles, is married to attorney Leonard Richardson, and has three adult children.
