Jackie King
Principal, Financial Advisor | Edward Jones
When Principal Jackie King began her career as an Edward Jones financial advisor in 2007, she did so with 17 years of financial services experience. Today she uses that experience to help others clarify their visions for the future and then partners with them to turn those dreams into reality.
In addition to serving individual investors, Jackie serves as the Edward Jones Financial Advisor Talent Acquisition spokesperson for the East Coast. Since October 2020, she has also led Region 63 in central North Carolina, promoting the health, growth and leadership development of more than 50 branch teams. She was named an Edward Jones principal in January 2021.
Before stepping into the regional leader role, Jackie served as a culture of compliance and recruiting leader, area WINGS/BRIDGE leader, mentor and field trainer. She’s also a past member of the Women’s Counsel and African American Advisory Board. Her colleagues recognized her extraordinary service by presenting her with the Ted Jones Spirit of Caring award in 2016.
Jackie has helped the firm grow and reach additional investors by recruiting more than 10 financial advisors and is currently hosting her second asset-sharing plan.
A native of North Carolina, Jackie graduated from Fayetteville State University, one of the nation’s 107 historically black colleges and universities, with a degree in sociology. She also holds the AAMS® professional designation.
Jackie is not only a leader in the firm but in the community as well. She is a Rotarian and donates her time, talent and effort to such nonprofits as Positive Direction for Youth and Families and her church. Jackie is also a certified John Maxwell coach and trainer. She also regularly shares the story of her personal journey and path to leadership at college campuses, women’s conferences, Edward Jones and other busi-ness functions.
Jackie’s husband, Ellis, is a military veteran. They have three sons and enjoy traveling.
