She also champions for healthy lifestyle approaches to optimize energy levels and productivity, as well as discussing provider burnout, resilience and well-being.
Her method to delivering care begins with getting to know her patients, which includes their values, lifestyle, and concerns. As a result, Dr. Patel is able to incorporate evidence-based medicine along with tailored education and motivation strategies that optimize patients’ nutrition, fitness, sleep, and mindfulness in order to improve and resolve health conditions, and strives to have her patients feel heard and supported, which is in line with her desire to care for the whole person rather than simply treating symptoms. While she believes that we each have the power to control our own health using simple lifestyle modifications that can lead to optimal wellness, her goal is to help patients realize their ability to make positive, healthy changes, and help guide them through this transformation to achieve successful results.
Dr. Patel is a member of the AMA and has served on the board of the National Consortium of Integrative Medicine.
