Dr. Denise Caleb

As the President of the Human Resource Standards Institute SM (HRSISM), Dr. Denise Caleb mines her deep business and HR experience and network to advance the organization and provides its roadmap for strategic expansion and progressive growth model in both the private and public business sectors. Before joining HRSI, Dr. Caleb spent more than 25 years in HR, business development, partnerships, and marketing executive leadership roles. She has served on 7 executive teams, twice as a CHRO, and 4 boards. Dr. Caleb continues to drive the impact on the future of work for HR and D&I professionals and how standards can be leveraged by international organizations across the globe.
Dr. Caleb has worked for three Fortune 500 and publicly traded companies: Ford Motor Credit, the financial arm of Ford; EDMC under the Goldman Sachs umbrella; and Walgreens, the largest pharmaceutical company in the world. When working at one of the leading academic health systems in the country, The University of Kansas Health System, Dr. Caleb led the HR function and also was responsible for employee health, occupational health and urgent care with more than 30,000 visits per year, as well as the administration of a flu clinic for over 10K employees.
For the past 15 years, she has led D&I initiatives that assessed and created D&I strategy and applied global knowledge and perspectives supporting the development of strategic processes that can be applied to various industries. As a military spouse, she experienced 13 moves and eight deployments that enriched her global perspective and exposure to diverse cultures and locations. She recently completed her Harvard Business School (HBS) Global Executive education program. She holds a Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) certification from HRCI and has also earned a Lean & Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Colorado State University and a D&I Certificate from Cornell University.
• Dr. Caleb graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Communication and
earned her Master’s in Education with a concentration in organizational change, performance at the university.
She also holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership.
