Dana Erf Fortman

Dana Erf Fortman, MBA, leads Walgreens Health Equity Team, responsible for the development of the enterprise health equity strategy and the unification and operationalization of Walgreens health equity efforts through internal and external cross-functional collaboration.  Dana has more than 15 years of leadership experience as a business strategy expert, and has a passion for developing innovative approaches to address patient healthcare and improve health outcomes.

Dana has worked at Walgreens for 6 years, prior to her current role she served in various roles on the Pharmacy & Healthcare and Operations teams, leading clinical performance strategy and retail pharmacy healthcare value proposition efforts to support our engagement with B2B stakeholders and internal partners.  Dana graduated from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration and started her career as a management consultant with Huron Consulting Group in Chicago, where she led strategy and operations-focused engagements for Higher Education & Life Sciences clients.  She then completed her MBA via the 1-year accelerated program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University before joining Walgreens.  Throughout her career, Dana has focused on opportunities to connect strategy, innovation, and doing good and leverages her strengths as a change agent and dot connector to identify synergies to advance collective impact.
