Andrea oversees the HR, IT, Project Management and Operations functions as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at CHC: Creating Healthier Communities. She ensures that the organization functions efficiently and effectively by managing the day-to-day activities and implementing strategic plans, while reporting to the CEO.
She launched her career at Plateau Systems (now SuccessFactors) in a support role and quickly established an official HR department, followed by the Sales, Marketing, and Professional Services departments. She then joined LHH taking positions of increasing responsibility, including Account Manager, VP, and later Senior Vice President. At Challenger Gray & Christmas, she spearheaded the DEIB strategy where, along with executive leaders, she developed a way for the business and human sides of the company to create a thriving culture where employees felt they could be authentic and supported.
While climbing the corporate ladder Andrea successfully launched and built a six-figure event management firm and started two trucking companies and a career development consultancy.
Andrea is a devoted special needs parent and was the caregiver to her disabled veteran father and “giving back” to others is at the core of her being. She has often donated her time and expertise to organizations, such as Adecco’s National Corporate Social Responsibility Council, LHH’s Global Diversity Council, and the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce.
She serves as a career management coach for prestigious organizations, including Diversity Woman Media. She is an inaugural founder of Capital One’s Magellan Program, a customized leadership development and career program for African American colleagues. She has Board experience including VP of Administration for NAAAHR, Greater Baltimore Chapter and DEI Co-Lead and Workforce Readiness Lead for Maryland State SHRM. Andrea also sits on the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Workforce NOW committee where she promotes and supports workforce readiness and development.
