Cheryl is a highly action and results oriented strategic change and engagement leader with an over 25-year track record of success advising public and private sector companies on strategic large scale transformation initiatives.
As Teladoc Health’s inaugural Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) she leads the development and execution of an enterprise-wide DEI strategy. She drives the formation and development of strategic initiatives and programs to cultivate diversity, foster inclusion and champion equitable care. Working across business lines, functions, and external strategic partners, she leverages DEI as a business enabler leading strategic initiatives to support innovation, business alignment and growth. Additionally, she links DEI to community and business outcomes through partnership on strategic health equity efforts intended to address social determinants of health (SDoH) and improve healthcare access, patient experiences and outcomes for all.
Cheryl also serves in various leadership roles for community organizations and non- profits. She utilizes her business acumen and leadership skills to fuel the social impact and success of various affiliations such as being named faculty for the Aggie Gentz Foundation Student Development Institute and immediate past Co-Chair of the Health Committee for the DC HBCU Alliance. Additionally, she is leading the growth of her social enterprise start-up, iMatter.org.
Cheryl earned her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University and a Master of Business Administration from North Carolina State University. She is also a Project Management Institute (PMI) certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
