Penny Pennington

Principal, Edward Jones

Penny Pennington is a principal with Edward Jones, and leads the Client Strategies Group, which is responsible for the products, services and solutions delivered to clients. She will assume the role of Managing Partner in January 2019. Edward Jones, a FORTUNE 500 firm, provides financial services for nearly 7 million investors through the firm’s 14,000-plus financial advisors in the United States and, through its affiliate, in Canada.

Passionate about engaging and inspiring others to develop and contribute at their highest potential, Penny works to foster an environment at Edward Jones that enables everyone to strive, grow and succeed. She’s the senior executive sponsor of the firm’s LGBTA Business Resource Group and a strong supporter of diversity and women’s efficacy in the workplace.

A native of Nashville, TN, Penny attended the University of Virginia, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce with a concentration in finance. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, is a graduate of Wharton’s Securities Industry Institute, and earned her MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Penny is an active member of the community and serves as a board member for several philanthropic organizations such as the Shakespeare Festival St. Louis, Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, Saint Louis Fashion Fund and Whitaker Foundation.

Penny and her husband, Mike, have two adult daughters and live in the St. Louis area.
