Minjon Tholen

Global Diversity & Inclusion Strategist

Minjon Tholen is a global Diversity & Inclusion strategist and educator, based in Washington D.C. She has almost a decade of experience in diversity & inclusion, including advising senior leaders at a wide variety of organizations, developing and implementing innovative projects, and designing and delivering numerous workshops. Currently a Senior Consultant at Cook Ross Inc., a leading Diversity & Inclusion management and organizational development firm, Minjon is responsible for a varied portfolio of high-level strategic external clients and internal responsibilities. Her clients include Fortune 500 companies, healthcare and educational institutions, and nonprofits.

Minjon’s previous work experience includes managing strategic projects at the Wisconsin Women’s Network and facilitating courses at the Gender and Women’s Studies Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She conducted research at the Institute for Women’s Policy Research and was a New Leader with the Center for Progressive Leadership and the National Council for Women’s Organizations in Washington D.C. Minjon has also been a fellow with the Roosevelt Institute| Pipeline and a delegate to the United Nations Commission on the Status in New York City.

Minjon was born in Sri Lanka, grew up in The Netherlands, and lives in the United States. She received her Bachelor’s degree cum laude from the University of Utrecht in The Netherlands, holds a Master’s degree in Gender and Women’s Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and has certificates in Executive Leadership and Strategic HR Leadership from Cornell University.
