She was recently honored as a Mandarin Leader 2018 in America for her being “exceptionally talented and accomplished and representing the creativity and altruism found amongst Chinese in North America.” She was recognized as one of “Maryland’s Top 100 Women” in 2015 for her “professional accomplishment, community leadership and mentoring” by The Daily Record. She was named an “Outstanding Chinese American” by the Alliance Cultural Media, Inc. in 2016.

She is the recipient of the “Best Cross-Cultural Communicator of the Year” in 2013 by the Maryland Washington Minority Companies Association.

Ms. Li is a guest columnist for the Path to Excellence magazine and dispenses communication and career advice.

The National Journal called her one of “Washington’s Movers and Shakers” in 1996.
Her work was profiled in several publications, including NPR, the China Daily and the ALIST Magazine.

Ms. Li is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA), Asian-American Government Executives Network (AAGEN), and Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC) among other organizations.

She can be heard as the “voice” and voice coach for Rosetta Stone’s Mandarin-language products.

Ms. Li lectured at the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School on business communication.

Ms. Li is a volunteer fitness coach and has run 5Ks and several continents. She is a graduate of Hefei College and the University of Mobile in Alabama.
