Dena Jones

Director, Project Management, Fannie Mae

Dena Jones is a Director, Project Management, Integrated Technology Solutions (ITS), within the Chief Operating Office (COO) division of Fannie Mae. She reports to the Senior Vice President for Integrated Technology Solutions and leads day-to-day operations for ITS. Dena leads cross-functional program management activities and driving strategic alignment in support of the company’s business objectives. In addition to serving as the program management lead for large scale transformational efforts, Dena leads business office and organizational management functions across the entire ITS organization.

Recognizing the importance of Diversity and Inclusion, Dena leverages her influence by advising decision makers on strategic relationships that further diversity and inclusion objectives in recruitment, hiring, and development. She has cultivated relationships with prominent organizations that address barriers to advancement for diverse talent. Her passion and efforts produced a “Technology Boot Camp” to attract high schoolers to technology; a partnership with INROADS to place diverse talent as summer interns; a partnership with the National Center for Women in Technology (NCWIT) and resulted in Fannie Mae being recognized as the 2017 Partner-of-the-Year award from ITSMF.

Dena holds memberships in the Information Technology Senior Leadership Forum (ITSMF), the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC), the Fannie Mae Hispanic Employee Resource Group, and the Fannie Mae Women in Technology group. Dena also serves as the Scholarship Program Chair for the HITEC Foundation.

Experience: Dena has built, developed and transformed teams, while executing strategic priorities and driving organizational efficiency. Dena joined Fannie Mae in 2003. Prior to joining Fannie Mae, she held leadership positions at CitiMortgage, First Nationwide Mortgage, Norwest, Prudential and Coopers & Lybrand.
