Claudia Ruffin is an entrepreneur, a consultant, and an executive coach with a track record of success for growing businesses through human capital management. As proprietor of Ruffin Consulting and Training, LLC, (RCT), Ms. Ruffin provides scalable services in leadership development, talent management, executive coaching, and diversity enhancement.  Her expertise lies in accurately assessing as well as skillfully developing and increasing talent capabilities. She is recognized for her distinct leadership and executive coaching style, and its measurable impact on her clients’ businesses.  She is credited with establishing best practice leadership programs and processes that increase bench strength and readiness for leaders to achieve optimum fit for themselves and their organizations.

Ms. Ruffin’s experience spans over 20 years and includes:  designing, customizing/tailoring and delivery of hundreds of leadership development programs;  advancing thousands of employees through inclusion and diversity training to sustain results-driven behavior; improving talent management strategies; and coaching executives and directors with responsibilities for profits and losses as well as multi-million dollar business revenue growth.  Successful outcomes result from RCT’s flexibility in partnering strategically to understand opportunities and fill gaps with decision makers to optimally develop and retain their top talent. In addition, RCT works with business and human resource leaders to implement strategies that improve organizational culture, productivity and bottom-line results.

The creation of RCT was a natural progression for Claudia from years of being Head of Organizational Development for North America at Degussa Corporation, a subsidiary of Degussa AG, the world’s largest producer of specialty chemicals.  There, she managed and implemented ongoing people processes:  talent planning, competency development, assessments, and coaching. While working out of the European office, she customized global development programs with INSEAD School of Business in France, IMD School of Business in Switzerland, and the Wharton Business School in the United States.

Ms. Ruffin creates content, leadership tools and learning videos, and eLearning training.  She is a Certified Diversity Professional, (CDP) in addition to being certified in various tools, assessments and programs. She certifies facilitators. She has contributed to articles and publications and receives frequent requests as guest/keynote speaker. She is featured in the book, “Women Are Changing the Corporate Landscape” by Jean Otte and Rosina Racioppi of WOMEN Unlimited, Inc.

Claudia is a graduate of Morgan State University with an M.B.A and BS in Information Systems and Sciences. She is also a graduate of Boardroom Bound® – Boardology Institute. She is founder and President of the Cellus Foundation, a non-profit, 501(3)c organization that is dedicated to harnessing the power of sports to prepare young people for healthy, fulfilling and productive lives.  Her commitment to this cause is driven by her rewarding experience of being a scholarship student athlete at MSU.  Correspondently, Ruffin coaches professional, collegiate and nationally ranked high school athletes, and volunteers in the community with youth focused programs.  Claudia is a native of Richmond, Virginia. Claudia is the proud mother of her dog, Sasha, and enjoys playing golf.
